ECU wire harness in ’96 and ’97 Miatas must be modified to a ’95 Miata wire harness. The first way to do this is to obtain an ECU wire harness from a junk yard. The plugs and about 12” of wire is plenty to splice onto the wires in the car. Follow the conversion table on the following page.

I downloaded a copy of the factory repair manual, but I could not find a wiring diagram for the fuel pump circuits. It looks like the 1996 wiring diagrams manual is out of print. The DLC1 Data Link Connector has a slot for the wire that runs to the fuel pump, but it is empty. My Tacoma has been sitting for a few years.
